APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION INTO DEGREE PROGRAMME BY DISTANCE LEARNING FOR THE 2015/2016 ACADEMIC SESSION

Applications are invited from qualified candidates for admission into the following undergraduate courses by distance learning for the 2014/2015 Session:

GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

All applicants must satisfy the entry requirements of the University of Abuja. Applicants must have passed at credit level at least five (5) departmental relevant subjects including English Language and Mathematics at not more than two sittings.

O'LEVEL APPLICANTS ADMISSION

REQUIREMENTS (100 LEVEL)

SSCE/WASC, GCE 'O' Level, NECO, NABTEB or TC II with Five credit passes including English and Mathematics obtained at not more than two (2) sittings. Two' A' Level passes with a minimum of three 'O' level credit passes in the relevant subjects.

DIRECT ENTRY APPLICANTS ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS (200 LEVEL)

OND in a relevant field with a minimum of Upper credit obtained from a recognized institution plus five (5) 'O' level credit passes. NCE with a minimum of Ten points pass obtained from a recognized institution and five (5) 'O' level credit passes.

 

MODE OF STUDY AND THE DURATION

Programmes run for four or five years depending on entry qualifications. The mode of study is mainly through on-line course delivery, multi-media resources, audio-visual materials, (CDs, DVDs, Disk drive) etc.

Learning facilitation shall strictly be carried out on our robust Learning Management System (L.M.S) where our seasoned Lecturers await you for facilitations, assessments and discussions as required of them. This is a replica of face-to-face classroom lectures in our conventional classrooms but enhanced using technologies as required by National Universities Commission (N.U.C)

All applicants are required to have a functional e-mail for the purpose of this application through which information can be sent.  The Centre also requires an applicant to have a functional telephone number to which text messages (SMS) could be sent.  

Applicants are expected to check their e-mail and message boxes from time to time for information an update regarding their applications.

  • Log on to the CDLCE PORTAL 
  • Click on REGISTER NEW ACCOUNT to have your first registration with us
  • Fill the details there prescribed (Password and Email Address)…….This steps requires you having a valid email address, you may need to open one if you do not have
  • Go to your email as an activation details must be waiting for you. Ensure you click on the ACTIVATION LINK.
  • LOGIN with the USERNAME and PASSWORD sent to your email address
  • FILL your Names, Phone Number and continue
  • Click PAY to process your payment having the funded ATM with you (ONLY MasterCard and Verve are allowed)
  • Click PAY NOW
  • FILL your ATM information (Please ensure strict security around you while doing this)
  • Once you had a successful payment, you can proceed to fill the application form. You will be thus be taken automatically to the page.
  • Click NEXT to select your intended PROGRAMME
  • Click NEXT to fill your BIODATA
  • Click NEXT to enter the O'level credentials (Remember to click ADD RECORD to enter each subject and click CONTINUE when you are done)
  • Click NEXT to enter your ACADEMIC RECORD (This is only necessary for applicants seeking to use DIRECT ENTRY as their mode of entry to 200 level)
  • Click NEXT to enter the details of your REFEREE. This must be at least two (2) persons (Names, Ranks/Occupation, Email Add. & Phone No. Please note that they shall be contacted also.
  • Click NEXT to upload your scanned passport and scanned signature. Your passport and signature should be in JPEG format and not more than 50 kilobytes. (These are for security purposes)
  • Click NEXT to finalise your application through ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND SUBMISSION.
  • Print your PAYMENT RECEIPT and APPLICATION FORM at the last menus
